Because Tongkat Ali is not a well known herb (mainly because the cost to harvest makes it hard for large supplement corporations to turn a profit compared with other supplements), there have been limited formal studies on the effectiveness of Tongkat Ali. However, in this study published at http://www.jissn.com/content/10/1/28, recipients of Tongkat Ali experienced (on average) 37% increases in Testosterone and 16% decreases in cortisol, compared with no change for the placebo group. These results fall right in line with what I have experienced from years of correspondence with individuals who have shared with me there "before/after" test results. Hopefully these results will increase interest in Tongkat Ali. Surely, increased public interest and exposure to Tongkat Ali would increase sales volume for those companies that are putting out quality products and decrease prices for all!
